FAQ
Questions people actually ask
Is Luv Health a replacement for my doctor?
No — it's the opposite. Luv connects you to the physician you already see. Everything you send goes to their practice, and they're the one who answers.
Is the assistant giving me medical advice?
No. The assistant asks questions and organizes your answers so your care team can act quickly. It does not diagnose, prescribe, interpret results, or tell you that you're fine. Every clinical judgement comes from your physician.
What if something is an emergency?
Stop and call 911. If the assistant detects language that could indicate an emergency, it ends the conversation immediately and directs you to emergency care rather than continuing to ask questions.
How fast will my doctor reply?
Each practice sets its own response target — commonly within one business day. You'll see that target before you send. Messages sent overnight or on a weekend are reviewed the next business day unless your practice says otherwise.
Does membership replace my health insurance?
No. Membership pays for enhanced access and communication. Your visits, labs and procedures are still billed to your insurance exactly as they are today.
Who can see what I write?
Your care team at the practice you're connected to — your physician and the staff who support them. Access is enforced on our servers, restricted by role, and every view of your record is logged.
Can I use Luv with more than one practice?
Yes. Luv is built for multiple practices and providers. Each relationship is kept separate, and one practice cannot see another's conversations.
Do I need to download an app?
No app store required. Luv installs straight from your browser and behaves like a native app once it's on your home screen. See how to install it.
Will notifications reveal my health information?
Never. A notification tells you that a secure message is waiting — nothing about what it concerns. The content only appears after you sign in.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancellation terms are set by your practice and shown on the plan before you join. Access continues through the term you've already paid for.
How do I get my old records into Luv?
Upload them yourself as PDFs or photos, or sign a release and we'll walk you through requesting them from your previous practice's portal step by step.
Can I get a prescription refilled through Luv?
You can request one, and your physician reviews it in Luv. The prescription itself is issued through your practice's prescribing system — Luv does not transmit prescriptions to pharmacies.
